Artist Fran Herreros displays eight large format works on canvas and another six small format pieces on paper using mixed technique. All the works present a figurative concept on the topic of wine. You can see the "Sobre el vino" exhibition until 15 December 2017, from Monday to Saturday and between 9 am and 6.30 pm at the Pago de los Capellanes winery in Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos.
Five of the eight canvases and three of the six paper-based works were made using a predominantly colourist technique. The works emphasise the huge range of colours produced during the various stages that both vine and wine undergo and accentuate the major role played by light. The black and white pieces also feature a rich variety of grey tones and nuances.
As part of his production process, the artist personalises all the pictures shown in the exhibition by incorporating creative geometric figures in different colours superimposed on the figurative concept. This means that all works in the collection take on the appearance of a series.
